The fisherman has been in commercial fishing since 1993. Bossard and Aritan have been married since 1993 and are working together to stake their claim to their industry. They are both in favor of conservative and profitable management of renewable seafood resources. Otolith is a direct wholesale seafood distributor that was started in Philadelphia in 2007, by a now-mother of two children, Bella aged 3 and Andre age 1. Its name is a sweet reminder of her intimate fish biology knowledge and her husband's extensive involvement with the fishing industry, frequently leaving them separated for five months or longer when they are focused on their the environment and financial goals that are a reflection of their individuality and commitment to their community wherever they call home. Bossard along with their son Andre and daughter Isabella will be returning to Southeast Alaska every summer as deckhands in the salmon season.
